Edward A. Diasio is an experienced and respected member of the firm’s Education and Municipal Law practice groups.
Mr. Diasio represents public school districts and other educational entities on a wide range of general legal matters involving topics such as board governance; policy development; student services; student rights and responsibilities; labor and employment issues; the use of technology, social media, and artificial intelligence in the school setting; procurement; contract development and review; and compliance with federal, state, and local legal and regulatory requirements. Known for being a passionate advocate for students and public education at both the local and state levels, he serves as Solicitor or Special Counsel for a number of public school districts throughout southeastern Pennsylvania.
Mr. Diasio also represents municipal entities on a broad range of zoning, land use, and other transactional matters related to topics such as board governance; legislation drafting; procurement and contracting; labor and employment issues; code enforcement; and legal and regulatory compliance.
He values and prioritizes building strong professional relationships with his clients and truly understanding their individualized goals and desired outcomes. Mr. Diasio believes that this approach to the practice of law is critical to being an effective advocate for his clients and achieving success as they define it. He has a reputation for being a fierce advocate for his clients, but also for providing pragmatic and cost-effective counsel.
A former member of the North Penn Board of School Directors, Mr. Diasio served as Chairman of the Finance Committee and was selected by his Board colleagues to represent North Penn on the Joint Operating Committee of the North Montco Technical Career Center and on the Board of Directors of the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit. Serving in these capacities afforded him a unique opportunity to develop additional insight on matters involving public education and has enhanced his ability to advocate and achieve success for his clients. Mr. Diasio also brings six years of experience serving on the Montgomery Township Zoning Hearing Board, including four years as Chairman of the Board, to the representation of his municipal clients.
Since 2022, he has been named to the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers® Rising Stars list in the area of Schools & Education. Each year, no more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state are selected to receive this honor. Mr. Diasio was also included in the 2024 and 2025 editions of the Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in America for both Education and Municipal Law.
A graduate of Temple University’s Beasley School of Law, he holds dual undergraduate degrees in accountancy and business administration from the Villanova School of Business. Prior to his legal career, he worked in public accounting for a large accounting firm as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and, during law school, for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.
Mr. Diasio resides in Doylestown Township, Bucks County. When not practicing law, he enjoys spending time with his family and son, Tyler, teaching courses at the college level, volunteering in his community, traveling, and biking.
