Ms. Choksi is a Senior Counsel in the Education Law practice group, where she focuses her practice on representing school districts and other taxing authorities in real estate tax assessment appeals to the county boards of assessment appeals, the Courts of Common Pleas, and Commonwealth Court.
Prior to joining Wisler Pearlstine, Ms. Choksi was a Divisional Deputy City Solicitor in the City of Philadelphia’s Law Department where she provided counsel on litigation and tax issues and represented the City and School District of Philadelphia in matters before administrative tribunal, state trial, and appellate courts. She has served as a hearing officer for the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and is a member of the Pennsylvania and Montgomery Bar Associations.
Ms. Choksi received her undergraduate degree in Government from Georgetown University and her law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where she was a member of the Law Review.
Representative Matters
- Represents school districts and other taxing authorities in residential assessment appeals and commercial assessment appeals involving shopping centers, office buildings, apartment complexes, and nursing home and assisted living facilities.
